Ghalarah is a city in the world of Aveyond. It is located on the Eastern Isle of the Arishta Isles.
The city appears only in Rhen's Quest, and is the first city to be visited after Rhen is kidnapped.
Background[]
The city is a major settlement of the Eastern Empire along with Veldarah. It has tropical climate, and is surrounded by forests and swamps. The wild area directly outside it is called Eastern Empire.

- Rona Tenobor - Lars' mother, a nasty person.
- Lars Tenobor - A haughty sorcerer who is the first to join Rhen's party.
- Rollen - A man who lives just outside the Tenobor property.
- Treasure Hunter - Located to the right of Rollen's house, he tells Rhen that he's found a purse full of gold buried in the forest.
- Eddie - A little boy who is also enslaved.
- Terlin - The seamstress. Gives Rhen Lars' clothes.
- Veselle - Complains of Lars' cruelty.
- Javis - Mentions that representatives from Shadwood Academy come once a year to recruit mages.
- Ylitta and Hector - Presumably friends of Lars'. Just as cruel.
- Mildred and Jenna - Two rich women who live east of the city.
- Beledine - Bought the priestess ring from the slave trader.
- Ghelda Gentrie and Lorad Rethwell - A sorcerer and a sword singer respectively. The envoy sent from Shadwood to collect Lars.
Notable Locations[]
- Tenobor House - The home of Lars and Rona, as well as Rhen for the three months that she is enslaved.
- Tailor's Shop - Here is where Rhen fetches Lars' travelling clothes from Terlin, the seamstress.
- Item Shop - South of the Tailor's Shop and just left of the Inn.
- Beledine's House - A large home east of the city, the lower of the two. In the bedroom Rhen can find the priestess ring, but will not steal it for fear of being killed.
